Wed 14th June Celebrating Carers Week - Join us for a Carers Café Coffee Morning

Carers Week is an annual campaign from Carers UK to raise awareness of caring, highlighting the challenges carers face and recognising the vital contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. Carers Week 2017 occurs between Monday 12th and Sunday 18th June.

To champion this worthy campaign, our surgery will host a “Pop the Kettle on for Carers UK!” Coffee Morning on the 14th June. Come along, have a cuppa and share your experiences about caring.

For further information about the Coffee Morning please contact reception.

New appointment system

From 28th November, 2016 we are starting a trial of a new appointment system. We believe that this new system will provide quicker access to a GP, Minor Illness Nurse and Practice Pharmacist whilst reducing the number of wasted appointments. Please ring in on the day if you would like to speak with; a GP, Minor Illness Nurse or Practice Pharmacist who will then call you back. The clinician may be able to help you without you having to come to the surgery to be seen; however if the clinician feels that they need to see you in person, they will ask you to come in the same day. We thank you for your patience during this new trial.

New local health advice website

Health Help Now is a free service for people in Bucks which you can downlaod to your phone, laptop or tablet so you can get NHS advice about the best place to go for your health concerns.  You can use Health Help Now to check your symptoms and find the nearest place you can go for treatment.  All pharmacies, dentists and GP surgeries are listed, as well as A&E details and the Minor Injuries and Illness Unit.

The app breaks down symptoms according to age groups.

The web app is available via www.healthhelpnow-nhs.net and can be saved to your phone, tablet or computer.

New Local Phone Number

The surgery has a new local phone number for patients to access the surgery, in addition to the 0844 number.  Full queuing functionality on the new number 01296 337546 will become available during April 2016.
